ABOUT | Dr. Madeline De Jonge

Madeline De Jonge, Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, Registered Acupuncturist, Board Certified Herbalist, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science in Chicago, IL with honors in May of 2019.  Dr. De Jonge also holds a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College. Her schooling involved five years of intensive study of Western Sciences, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, and Herbology, including over 1,000 supervised clinical hours. Dr. De Jonge is committed to promoting the health of patients across the lifespan by helping modern Americans navigate their busy lives utilizing the ancient practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

As a complement to her schooling, Dr. De Jonge completed one year of internship with the Anesthesiology Department of John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL. During this internship, Dr. De Jonge treated patients in both the outpatient pain management clinic and in the Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PACU). She attributes this experience as the root of her passion for integrative pain management and peri-operative acupuncture.

Dr. De Jonge became interested in medicine at a young age. She grew up under the care of a chiropractor and was inspired to study Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine after seeking treatment as a teenager for acne prone skin and food sensitivities.

Born and raised in West Michigan, Dr. De Jonge hails from the small community of Saugatuck. Growing up in this area has inspired her appreciation for the arts, local food, and the lakeshore. Dr. De Jonge is a lifelong lover of music and she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends & family.
